This category provides participants with information about a variety of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), how they are acquired, treated, and prevented. Students will be taught that STIs can be life threatening, lead to serious consequences, caused by bacteria or viruses, be treated but possibly not cured, and be asymptomatic.
