Why We Collect Information
HW and the SkillNet, LLC platform collects personal information from its users for several reasons. When providing online educational services using the SkillNet, LLC platform, SkillNet, LLC electronically collects the student, teacher, parent, and administrator information required by educational institutions from those taking or teaching courses at the physical institution. SkillNet, LLC stores this information on its servers and makes the information available to the institution. In an online medium, detailed affirmation of users' identities and their actions while using SkillNet, LLC products is necessary to verify that course participants and permitted users are legitimate. The information provided during registration, such as e-mail address, institution affiliation, and zip code, may be used to create personalized content. SkillNet, LLC is dedicated to the integrity of its customer base so the law is not unknowingly broken through its member population. SkillNet, LLC must handle personal information of our users and must know who each member is, have proof of that member's identity, know how to contact that member, and occasionally verify how the member is using the SkillNet, LLC Learning Environment or Site. Demographic information about our member base allows SkillNet, LLC to provide products that meet the needs of its users. Understanding our user base means marketing activities will be relevant to the user. SkillNet, LLC and third party licensees may use non-personally identifiable profile information to generate aggregate reports and market research in the form of statistics. This information is not capable of being matched with your personally identifiable information. SkillNet, LLC surveys and reviews the demographic nature of our users on a regular basis in an attempt to improve our products and enhance the online learning for our users.
